The Autonomous Organism of National parks is the public administrative organ, dependent on the Ministry of the Environment, in charge of developing and coordinating the planning and management of the Network of national Parks.
EUROPARC- Europarc is an organisation that groups a large number of institutions involved in the planning and management of protected natural spaces within the Spanish territory. It constitutes the principal professional forum in which to discuss and prepare proposals for improving these spaces.
Red Española de Desarrollo Rural - Spanish Network of Rural Development
The Spanish Network of Rural Development is a non-profit association created in 1995 with the general objective of promoting rural development. The Network currently involves 164 Local action Groups in the Spanish territory, 99 of which manage the EU initiative LEADER and 65 the National Programme PRODER.
Basic structure co-ordinated at the European level for the debate and exchange of experiences between Local Action Groups.
The Pyrenees Work Community is an interregional organism of transfrontier co-operation. It aims to become a laboratory of European integration.
Fundació Territori i Paisatge - Territory and Landscape Foundation
Fundació Natura is one of the first NGO created in Spain to have devoted itself entirely to the conservation of biological diversity through the protection, improvement and restoration of the natural ecosystems.
This Association (Centre for the Rural Development of Navarra) was founded in December 1991 as a non-profit organisation with the following objectives:
- To promote the harmonious and integrated development of the rural areas of the Navarra Mountains.
- To serve as a convergence and representation forum for all economic and social actors, public and private, involved in the development of the region.
Is a public entity encompassing the municipalities of Almargen, Ardales, Campillos, Cañete de la Real, Carratraca, Cuevas del Becerro, Sierra de Yeguas, Teba and the Malaga Diputación. It has as its main objective the development of a global and integrated policy of economic and social development in the rural environment.
The Rural Innovation Programme for the Cordou Sierra Morena operates under the auspices of the EU initiative LEADER II and has the following objectives:
- To try and maintain the population in the county by means of employment creation, improved living standards, etc.
- To exploit the natural value of the area by presenting an alternative development model.
- To diversify and strengthen the production base of the county, encouraging highly innovative activities with the capacity of generating synergies.
- To recover and strengthen traditional activities based on the agrarian and forest sector, and to incorporate these activities into a model that combines conservation of the natural environment and rational exploitation of resources.
- To elaborate an integral plan for the exploitation of rural tourism and to co-ordinate operations by the different administrations (grants, subsidies, public projects, etc.) and sectors (arts and crafts, complementary services, leisure and gastronomy, etc.).
A non-profit organisation integrating the different public administrations, trade unions, associations and cooperatives of the Prepirineo. Its mission is to articulate a common development strategy for the integrated development of the western Aragon Prepirineo.
FEDERTE is a non-profit federation at the service of the rural areas of Tenerife. It includes a number of entities related to agricultur, cattle rearing, rural tourism as well as other associations concerned with the rural development of the island.
