The forecast was carried out by the following institutions:

NEA, IWW, INRETS, MKmetric
CDV, CELU, DISCOUNT, FIDA, IN-PUMA, IPSA, ITS, INCETRANS, KTI, OBET, PROMENTNI, TTI, VUD.

The Toolbox is composed by the following tools:
  • Internet interactive visualisation of transport networks (based on ASSEMBLING Internet Server and Bridges/CS-NIS)
  • Data retrieval and desktop mapping tool (on EXCEL and Visual Basic)
  • Interactive versions of the passenger and freight models (on EXCEL and Visual Basic, based on ASSEMBLING knowledge-tool concept)

To work with the network's visualisation tool just click here.

Phare toolbox is considered a pilot case within spotlightsTN/ LTVisions

LTvisions explores new software and modelling solutions to improve advanced model's usability.

Developing user-friendly interfaces and on-line Internet access to advanced models has  crutial advantages for both the modeller and the end-users:

On the one hand, modellers could optimise the hardware and software tools supporting the model (since the model is actually installed in their own computer facilities) making them as productive and efficient as possible, and provide on-line access to a potentially unlimited number of end-users.

On the other hand, end-users (analysts, experts, decision-makers) could gain access to a larger number of operational models and use them by themselves in a friendly manner and productive, removing the need to instal each model (and all related databases) into their own computer system (which in most cases will be suboptimal or simply uncompatible).
