Analysis of transport projects: shortest paths and hinterlands

in EU, Accession and Mediterranean Countries

 

 

Analysis .interface

The analysis available are hinterlands from an origin city and shortest paths between two cities. The results of these analysis are given as data and can be visualised in a map with the respective transport network used.  This unables the user to obtain materials for reports and presentations.

The options of the analysis  interface are listed below:

 
  1. Hinterlands

  2. Shortest paths

Hinterlands

  1. Press Tree bottom on the right hand side of the analysis interface. A new window will appear.

  2. Choose a city from where the tree will be calculated (cities listed are from EU, Accession and Mediterranean countries, ordered first by countries and then alphabetically).

  3. Choose the maximum time.

  4. Choose the transport network.

  5. Press Display Map in the interface.

 
 
 

The hinterland will appear selected in a map with the chosen transport network. The user can choose another background without unselecting the map and using the options of the View interface.

  
 

Shortest paths between cities

 
  1. Press Shortest paths bottom on the right hand side of the analysis interface. A new window will appear.

  2. Choose a city origin and a city destination (cities listed are from EU, Accession and Mediterranean countries, ordered first by countries and then alphabetically).

  3. Choose the maximum time.

  4. Choose the transport network.

  5. Press Display Map in the interface.

  
 

The result of the shortest path will appear graphically and as data. The shortest path will appear selected in a map with the chosen transport network and as data in a new window. The user can choose another background without unselecting the map and using the options of the View interface.

 

 

A new window will appear with a table that contains the elements that configurate the shortest path, their class and the length and time of each one.
